AVL DiTEST invites experts from around the world to attend event

GRAZ. AVL DiTEST, the specialist for vehicle diagnostics and measurement technology organises a regular knowledge exchange event for expert sales partners from the automotive aftermarket in Graz. This year, 40 dealers from 16 countries accepted the invitation to attend, from Japan to Peru. During the two-day event, experts from AVL DiTEST gave attendees a glimpse behind the curtains and presented product innovations for the workshop from the areas of exhaust gas emissions testing, e-mobility, diagnostics, climate control servicing and measurement technology. As well as the acoustic camera for detecting disruptive noise in the vehicle, two other products are worthy of a mentioned for the attention they attracted.

The first of these was the practical use of VR (Virtual Reality) glasses. AVL DiTEST has developed training software for this purpose, which simulates safe working on hybrid and electric vehicles. This allows workshop employees to practice the relevant work steps in the VR simulation at any time.

The other was the topic of particle counting for diesel vehicles. The participating sales partners were able to see the first prototype from AVL DiTEST for determining the particle count for themselves and carry out their own measurements. In some EU countries, legal frameworks are already in development for this, with AVL DiTEST experts involved in this process right from the start.

The expert talks were each complemented by interactive workshops. “An all-round successful programme, just the right mixture of presentations, practical application and stimulating conversations”, enthused long-term partner from Peru, Karsten Kunckel. AVL DiTEST CEO Gerald Lackner was also impressed: “When I’m hearing such positive feedback from our customers over dinner, I know that we have done everything right. This unique atmosphere is the result of long-term and mutually appreciative cooperation.” To end the intensive two-day event, the guests had the opportunity to sample the sunny side of southern Styria at some local vineyards.
