The automotive aftermarket meets in the heart of France

PARIS. Every other year Equip Auto, one of the leading international trade fairs for the automotive market, opens its doors for five days. Twelve hundred exhibitors from over 40 countries attended, occupying an area of more than 100,000 m² over the space of three halls, including the Austrian vehicle diagnostics and measurement technology specialists AVL DiTEST. “This trade fair is a must-attend event for us”, agree Senior Sales Manager Johanna Mandak and Area Sales Manager Remy Prats. “This is the perfect opportunity to experience our products live.”
This year, the experts from AVL DiTEST focused on four key areas in their trade fair concept. Alongside vehicle diagnostics and climate control service equipment, two highlights from the areas of emissions testing and measurement technology were presented.

With the MDS 250 Slim Ecodiag emissions station, workshops can measure exhaust emissions in exactly the same way as a PTI test. This way, they can ensure that their customers can successfully pass pre-monitoring first time round and avoid costly repairs. The compact station attracted a great deal of attention among the trade fair visitors.

The second highlight was the AVL DiTEST ACAM – a digital camera combined with 64 microphones for pinpointing disruptive noises in the vehicle. The ACAM helps find unwanted sources of noise quickly and precisely and visualises them with the digital camera. This minimises the error detection time and increases customer satisfaction.

“Once again this year, a large number of professionals took the opportunity to share their knowledge”, said Johanna Mandak, giving her initial positive reflection on the event. It seems safe to say that we’ll be in attendance again in two years time.
