AVL DiTEST calibration laboratory now accredited: Second calibration laboratory for emission measuring equipment within a year

GRAZ. The solutions provided by AVL DiTEST, the Austrian vehicle diagnostics and measurement technology specialist, have been characterised by their high quality standards for more than 20 years. Since the beginning of 2019, emission measuring equipment has been calibrated to the international DIN EN ISO 17025 standard in its own accredited laboratory at the company's Cadolzburg site in Germany. The German subsidiary, responsible for global service, issued more than 10,000 calibration certificates during the first year.
The experience gained is now also being used at the Austrian headquarters. With the accreditation of a second calibration laboratory for emission measuring equipment at its Graz site, AVL DiTEST is further expanding its expertise. Customers will now receive a calibration certificate for their petrol and diesel measuring devices as they leave the Graz production facility. The turbidity coefficient and various gas concentrations are calibrated, which is unique among device manufacturers. "We are the only laboratory in Austria accredited to ISO 17025 for these parameters," is the proud observation of Dr Reinhold Hetzel, Head of Production & Industrial Engineering. "A welcome quality accolade that demonstrates to our customers that our quality aspirations are continually developing and evolving."
The next expansion steps are already planned. In the future, the two AVL DiTEST calibration laboratories will be used for particle measuring devices and products from other business units. The focus is primarily on e-mobility devices.
